AIRCORPS AVIATION’S HALVAS COMPLETES TRAINING AT COVINGTON AIRCRAFT

Bemidji, Minn. – Tye Halvas, maintenance manager at AirCorps Aviation, recently completed training at Covington Aircraft. His experience will enhance AirCorps Aviation’s maintenance services located at the Bemidji Regional Airport.

Founded in 1972, Covington Aircraft is a world-leading aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul facility located in Okmulgee, Okla. Halvas’s training there involved disassembly, assembly, inspection, maintenance and the troubleshooting of Pratt & Whitney R985 and R1340 engines.

In his current role at AA, which he has held for 2 ½ years, Halvas oversees customer aircraft maintenance, repair and inspections. In addition to his newly aquired skills, he has seven years of experience as a licensed A&P mechanic and has held his inspection authorization for the last four. He also has experience in piston engine overhaul and maintenance, warbird maintenance and restoration, bushplane maintenance and modification including floats and skis, as well as working on other small aircraft.
