SUMMARY:

The Process Technician is responsible for the organization and processing of various manufacturing documents to help generate material demand, facilitate production scheduling, and fulfill work center requirements. The manufacturing of historical and modern aircraft parts is no simple task; ensuring that all aspects of a project are accounted for and documented is critical for producing quality and complete parts to meet exact customer specifications. The Process Technician’s primary role is to create work orders and shop-floor travelers to provide traceability and flow to production activities while coordinating with other departments to ensure both technical and customer requirements are being accurately captured, communicated and executed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understands, identifies, and records the fabrication processes necessary to ensure customer and regulatory compliance in the manufacturing of aerospace products.

  • Creates and manages Sales Orders and Work Orders from order receipt to job release while maintaining current data to allow for accurate cost reporting and record keeping.

  • Coordinates with QA, engineering, and sales to capture any released drawing revisions in both production and development programs and make any necessary changes to active Work Orders.

  • Effectively and proficiently works in JobBOSS to create parts, travelers, and BOMs.

  • Helps manage part production process and setup, to include planning for availability of needed resources, and assisting in the development of production schedules.

  • Ensures that all documents are completed as accurately and completely as possible.

  • Assists in creation of SOPs and other beneficial process mapping.

  • Identifies and/or participates in the successful implementation of process improvements initiatives.

  • Maintains an awareness of safety sensitive work and surroundings. Responsible for identifying potential and actual hazards and mitigate damage to persons and property.

  • Identifies the most efficient way to safely complete assigned tasks according to team productions schedule.

  • Works efficiently and independently within defined quality standards to ensure timely completion of projects.

  • Seeks out opportunities to build new skills. Develops good work habits to ensure a high quality of work is accomplished.

  • Seeks out and uses technical resources such as Aircorps’ online and physical libraries in the appropriate format.

  • Effectively and proficiently uses JobBOSS and Redbooth to communicate project needs with other team members, maintains relevant compliance data, and monitors task completions.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Ability to read and interpret structural and mechanical drawings both modern and legacy.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures for planning functions.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Engineering or project management training preferred.

  • Excellent oral communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Experience with JobBOSS software is a plus.

  • Effectively and proficiently uses computer-based and online software and systems daily.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, Fishbowl, Harvest, Buildbook, and Google Drive.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift and pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds at a time.

COMPENSATION:
$22-$27/hr
