SUMMARY:
This position involves a wide range of tasks including loading and running CNC machines, deburring, grinding, part cleaning, preparing parts for primer and paint, assisting with shipping and receiving, and general shop maintenance such as shoveling snow, sweeping floors, and taking out garbage. Reporting to the VP of Fabrication, the role requires a well-rounded, energetic individual with a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement in support of aircraft restoration, repair, and fabrication projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production Support & Equipment Operation
- Load and run CNC machines under supervision.
- Perform deburring, grinding, part cleaning, and other finishing tasks.
- Assist with preparing parts for primer and paint.
- Support shipping and receiving by packing parts for shipment.
- Cross-train to assist in operating a variety of production equipment to support shop flexibility.
- Shop Maintenance & General Duties
- Maintain safe, clean, and orderly conditions in assigned work areas (sweeping floors, taking out garbage, shoveling snow, etc.).
- Take good care of equipment and perform necessary preventive maintenance on schedule.
- Identify the most efficient way to safely complete assigned tasks according to the team production schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- No experience necessary — must be willing to work hard and train.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
- Effective and appropriate oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient at all aspects of operating relevant equipment (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to repeatedly and frequently lift 50+ pounds.
- Ability to solve practical problems and make decisions within a set of guidelines.
- Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork.
- Ability to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or procedures.
- Manual dexterity and physical strength necessary to operate equipment; ability to stand/bend for the entire shift.
